Effects on skin: Because of its various nutritious properties, pomegranate seed oil is used extensively for cosmetic purposes. It is used as an emollient to protect, heal and moisturize skin which is dry, cracked or irritated. It is especially useful for mature and aging skin. Since it contains high levels of ellagic and punicic acids, along with certain natural estrogenic properties, it helps to revitalize dull skin and smooth away wrinkles.
